DECARBONISING INDUSTRIAL HEAT
High-temperature heat accounts for roughly 10% of global carbon dioxide emissions, and is a major contributor to climate change. This is because at least 75% of total industrial heat production is derived from fossil fuels such as natural gas, coal and oil. If the global energy transition and the race to net zero global emissions are to be a success, we must collectively address the process heat challenge.
Blue Capsule proposes an innovative small modular nuclear reactor that can reliably produce the heat, steam and even electricity that industries need for their processes.

This might mean ammonia plants that undertake such processes as hydrogen production (using SOEC) or the Haber-Bosch process requiring steam. Or perhaps cement plants, soda ash production plants or alumina-type production installations. All would need some or all of our products to ensure efficient operation and reduce their CO2 emissions in the process.
